How shall we approach worship today?:

Two thoughts from John Piper
Gravity:
For the LORD spoke thus to me with his strong hand upon me, and warned me not to walk in the way of this people, saying: “Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. But the LORD of hosts, him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he will become a sanctuary. (Isaiah 8:11-14)
Gladness:
Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling! Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. (Psalms 43:3-4)

Throne of God

Oh let your will abide in me.  I long for nothing else as long as You Jesus are Glorified.  You are true when I am parched and dry.  You reign in the deepest valley.  You are still God in the darkest night.  Oh let your will be done.  In your love Jesus I will abide.  I long for nothing else as long as you are Glorified.  So Jesus, quiet my restless heart.  As I walk this new road of not dancing, I realize again, my desperate need for HIM alone.  May your heart be quieted in prayer before the Throne of God.  For that is where battles are fought and won.  He is calling me to take the road of obedience and to take the cost joyfully!!  Be abandoned to Jesus, no matter the cost.
"For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.  For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?"  Mark 8:35-36
